Welcome to my personal website, my little piece of the interhighway, my personal asylum where I can post all sorts of personal stuff
for visitors to enjoy. My site has gone under many visual changes to become what you see now in front of you. Please feel free to
browse and check out what I have to offer here.
I created this site years ago for many different reasons, that all still hold true to this day.
- So I could tell people that I had a website
- So I can post for download games and programs I have made
- So I have a working example of my web programming skills so I could keep myself up-to-date with current standards and to use when I am trying to get freelance work.
Some of my hobbie
I have a couple of hobbies that I spend alot of my freetime on throughout the day
It's not often that I can just sit down and do nothing (except when one of my favorite TV shows is on) so I keep myself busy with a few different hobbies. Most of the hobbies have their own pages here on my site for you to see what I have done and created. Below are just some quick descriptions of my hobbies.

Digital Photography
Ever since I took a photography class in college I have liked to take photos. With my digital camera, that I take everywhere, I am able to take all the photos I want and then do some editing with them on my computer. I have gotten some nice photos when I have played around with colors and stuff.

Game Programming
I started doing application programming in school, making programs for me to use personally. Then I started making games and I have kept on making them. I like creating computer games because I can make games that I want to play and that have all the features I wish other games I like had. They are all listed here for you to download if you want.

Freelance Programming
Its not really a hobby, more or an additional means of income but since I like to do it, I will include it as a hobby. I have been trying to do as much freelance web development as I can to help save up for gas/rent and my wedding. I have a website dedicated to the freelance work as well, www.kevincawleyjr.com

Since this site serves as an example of my skills there is a lot going on
Since I use this site as one of my programming examples as well as a place to try new programming techniques, there is always a lot going on in the background. First the site serves as a place to post personal stuff and things I create, then as a way to get in contact with me, and finally as a place for me to practice coding.
I usually do most of my work on the site in PHP and JavaScript. I am slowly working on getting the site to be more dynamic so it is always changing and staying fresh. I also rely heavily on CSS when I can since that is the new big thing.
My other sites
I have 3 sites that I use personally on my web host all with different topics
As a way of keeping my programming skills sharp and up-to-date, as well as separating completely different topics I created 2 other sites to use. The first site I have is the one you are currently on, which was the only site I originally had so everything was here. Now that I am trying to get as much freelance work as I can to help cover the cost of gas and stuff, I created a new site dedicated to that and moved all my web programming related material there.
The other site I created and moved stuff over to is the personal site of my girlfriend Chrissy and I. Yes we have our own website for the two of us. You can find all sorts of information about us and our families as well as trips and stuff we have gone on. Don't worry, it doesn't get all too mushy.
